Travel Team, a 274 page novel by Mike Lupica, is a story of a twelve year old boy named Danny Walker.
Danny isn't any average boy. He is the son of Richie Walker, a point Guard for the Warriors. But Danny has a problem: he is one of the shortest boys in Middletown. After not making the cut at the league tryouts, his dad puts together a team of kids who just weren't good enough to make it. After his dad gets into a car accident, it is decided that Danny should coach instead. With the help of friends, they eventually achieve their goals.
